Christmas time is circus time. Around the turn of the year, the Cirque Noël Graz festival showcases the most exciting and pioneering companies in the world of contemporary circus, delighting its audience with a cultural programme for the whole family.
What happens when the mighty sound of an orchestra is packed into a tiny digital device and placed in the hands of eight acrobats?
Audience favourites Gravity & Other Myths return to Cirque Noël Graz for the fifth time to celebrate the European premiere of their new piece, Canon.
Canon skilfully plays with the traditions of classical music and the circus, bringing them together in a fresh way: with humour, a joy of performance and impressive acrobatics, the ensemble explores what happens when old ideas meet new bodies. Contemporary artistry blends with a variety of artistic forms of expression; the familiar is questioned, reassembled and taken to surprising new heights.
Full of energy, inventiveness and breathtaking physical virtuosity, Canon invites audiences of all ages to rediscover our cultural heritage in a unique way.
