What is this ‘Boogie Woogie Taste’ and what does it taste like? If you ask yourself this question in this way, there are only two possibilities: either you’re struggling with German grammar, or you’ve grasped the ambiguity of the band’s name.

The train driver, mastermind and composer of all the tracks, ‘Professor’ Bernhard, is probably the only person who knows where the journey is headed. Alongside planning the route, his almost even more important role is pressing the right button at the right time with the right feeling – and he’s good at it.
Drummer “Trickstick” Andreas is responsible for maintaining the right travelling speed; he shovels coal into the engine’s combustion chamber without a care in the world, making the ladies’ hearts beat faster to the “beat of the boogie”. Things are a little more civilised in the passenger carriage, though only just.
“Trumpetblaster” Michael, a serious architect, creates clear lines and structure – but not on the Boogie Train! With his refined taste for subtle nuances, he ensures the right “taste” here.
Jumping on the Boogie Train at the last minute, yet not a second too late, is the now indispensable ‘Saxman’ and controller, Manfred. Provided you have a valid ticket, you can sit back, relax and listen to his sounds. ‘Boogie Woogie’ and ‘Blues’ are, of course, the main components of the cargo, but it is the small packages that make up the contents of ‘
