The many swimming lakes and public indoor and outdoor pools of Graz are just perfect for a bit of fun, action and relaxation. You can find numerous volleyball courts to hone your digging, scooping and spiking skills in Graz. Many public pools, such as Augartenbad, Margaretenbad or Austerbad have volleyball courts as well. In addition, Mur Beach is a popular spot for both players and spectators.

Relax at Augarten park

It’s easy to relax in the city centre of Graz – for instance at the Augarten park. Augartenbucht bay, an artificial beach with cosy lounge furniture right at Murpromenade, is simply perfect to kick back and relax. If it gets too hot on a summer’s days, simply head over to nearby Augartenbad.
Tip for families: There are plenty of opportunities to romp and play for your little ones at Augarten. What’s more, the popular children’s museum Frida&Fred with its interactive exhibitions is also located there.

Experience Graz from new perspectives - with rafting trips on the Mur River right through Graz. The one-hour trips take place regularly - but the entire raft can also be booked for private tours or events. The barrier-free raft accommodates up to 50 people, equipped with a bar, and catering or live music can be arranged upon request! Starting point: The raft departs at the "Stadtstrand" (Rafting dock at the "Stadtstrand" near the Puchsteg) - from here it heads north to the Augarten and back again - upstream with an electric motor, downstream the raft can be allowed to drift!
