styriarte 2026: "Zauberflöte"
Concert in the Planetarium Hall followed by a picnic with music in the park of Schloss Eggenberg (weather permitting)
“The sun’s rays dispel the night, destroying the power the hypocrite has gained by deceit.” Thus, at the end of *The Magic Flute*, Sarastro proclaims the victory of light over the darkness of superstition and fanaticism. In the Planetensaal of Eggenberg Palace, the wind players of Zefiro thwart the machinations of the Queen of the Night with their enchanting melodies. Even without singers, Mozart’s most popular opera becomes a magical spectacle of the forces of good.

- In the Planetarium Hall: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: The Magic Flute in an arrangement for wind band by Joseph Heidenreich (1753–1823)
- In the Park: Gioachino Rossini: from ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’ in an arrangement for wind ensemble by Wenzl Sedlak
