Long-forgotten dishes and old recipes are being served as a modern gourmet menu with new techniques at the fine-dining  restaurant in the Parkhotel Graz. Dishes like "Sisis Koks", "Kartoffelkönig" or "Das gestrichene Gericht" are inspired by old Habsburger recipe records as well as culinary traditions and anecdotes from the Austro-Hungarian crown lands. It´s a tribute to the long history of the house, which originated 450 years ago as the "Gasthaus zur goldenen Birn".

At the restaurant "Zur Goldenen Birn", you can expect a culinary journey through the centuries, reinterpreted by head chef and pastry chef Jan Eggers (Gault&Millau Pastry Chef of the Year 2024 | Der große Guide Pastry Chef of the Year 2025 | Jan Eggers is also one of the ‘50 Pastry Best’ - the 50 best pâtissiers) and sous chef Patrick Slamanig. 

Opening hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm

8-course menu: € 200.00 per person, wine pairing: € 100.00 per person
4-course menu: € 125.00 per person, wine pairing: € 60.00 per person
The menus can also be prepared in vegetarian, pescetarian and vegan versions.
Please reserve vegetarian and pescetarian options 48 hours in advance and vegan options one week in advance.
The restaurant reserves the right to adjust prices in the event of changes to the menu and wine pairing.
